New Designers 2018

Updated: Mar 7, 2019

Well London, it’s been one hell of a busy week, and what a way to spend the final days of my degree.

I’m extremely proud of everyone involved and the hard work they have put in. Out of all the other graphic design university’s exhibiting at new designers, we certainly had the most ‘out there’ exhibition brand environment, with modular peg-board walls on wheels, neon lights, glitching logo projection, interactive displays, vinyl wall/floor designs and sweets… lots of sweets! It was very colourful to say the least.

Each of us had double sided peg-board walls to display our work on, one side for our personal branding and the other for our final major project, mine being Aggro.

New Designers is an eye-opening experience and a fantastic place to network, there was a lot of swapping of business cards! I caught the eye of many visitors there, Digital Arts, Playground Games and Universal Production Music to name a few.

Once the New Designers show came to an end, every student rushed to take down their displays, like a Piranha feeding frenzy. This is where we ended up not feeling so cleaver with our huge elaborate display, we were tired and wanted to get home.

But now it’s time for the holidays to begin with a much needed break. Celebrations are most certainly in order!
